Avatar and Signature Set Paint Tutorial

Programs Needed

Tutorial

  1. Open Paint.
  2. Go to Image > Attributes. Set both the height and width to 80 pixels.

  3. Select the Paint Can Tool Paint Can Tool and fill in the image.
  4. Add some effects to make the background cooler.

  5. Find a picture that you would like to use on your avatar.

  6. Leave the avatar image open. Open the new image in Paint.
  7. Fill in the background with the lime green in the color box.

  8. Go to Edit > Select All.
  9. Go to Edit > Copy.
  10. Go back to the avatar image.
  11. Go to Image > Draw Opaque. Right click on the lime green in the color box.

  12. Go to Edit > Paste.

  13. Position the image over the background.

  14. Go to Image > Attributes. Set both the height and width to 80 pixels.

  15. Select a colour for your text.
  16. Select the Text Tool Text Tool. Click on your avatar.
  17. Type your avatar text in the box and choose your font and size. Click elsewhere on your image to deselect the text.

  18. Add a border or other effects.
  19. Go to File > Save As and save your image.
  20. Repeat steps 2 - 19 for your signature, but make the width of the image 200 pixels.
